Can't get USB wireless adaptor working in Debian. I know it does work. Help?
Hey guys. I'm currently on Lubuntu, connected to the internet using a 'Ralink Technology, Corp. RT2070 Wireless Adapter'. The driver automatically installed in all *buntu variants so I know the adaptor is working.
I'm trying to install the Debian netinstall via USB, but during installation it asks for the file 'rt2870.bin', which is the driver for my adaptor, to be present. After much searching, I found the file and put it on the USB drive but it still won't detect it.
Two questions... Where do I put the file 'rt2870.bin' if it won't detect it in the root?
Can I copy my driver from Lubuntu somehow and insert it into Debian via the CLI?
Thanks for your help. This is doing my nut in
