Can't get bluetooth working

My bluetooth seems to be setup fine, but I can not connect my apple bluetooth keyboard to it, and I can not send files to a blackberry or an LG phone. It seems the bluetooth dongle is working, but I can't use it to connect with anything. It works perfectly fine in windows via virtualbox.

apple bluetooth keyboard (first gen)
Code:
bluez-simple-agent hci0 00:1E:52:6D:7E:33
RequestPinCode (/org/bluez/28279/hci0/dev_00_1E_52_6D_7E_33)
Enter PIN Code: 0000
Release
New device (/org/bluez/28279/hci0/dev_00_1E_52_6D_7E_33)
trying to connect to it
Code:
sudo hidd --connect 00:1E:52:6D:7E:33
Can't get device information: Host is down
logs show
Code:
Nov 24 13:52:50 localhost bluetoothd[3594]: link_key_request (sba=00:1B:DC:0F:78:19, dba=00:1E:52:6D:7E:33)
Blackberry:

Code:
sudo hidd --connect 00:1E:52:6D:7E:33
Can't get device information: Host is down
Code:
sudo hcitool cc 00:1E:52:6D:7E:33
Can't create connection: Input/output error
Blackberry says
