Turn on computer and press key to enter BIOS. DEL key usually,...some computers it is F1, or F10 or some other key. Inside BIOS, change the First Boot Device from Hard Drive to CD-ROM. Save and exit. Reboot with the Distro CD-ROM in the CD-ROM Drive. At the prompt, type "rescue". Fix YOUR partition. YOU may find yourself reinstalling the Distro if what YOU wanted to accomplish did not measure up to YOUR standards. So if YOU use YOUR system for work projects, budget YOUR time to be up and running before YOU need to work again. After getting the system to perform the way YOU require, go back to the BIOS and change the First Boot Device to Hard Drive. Save and exit. Good luck.
