Can't launch OpenOffice after installing graphic card

I've got a 32MB nVidia PCI graphic card from eVGA for my computer and installed it about 4 months ago.
My Computer:
OS: Dual Boot: WinXP Home / Linux RH9
Processor: P4 1.8 Ghz
RAM: 768 MB

I haven't had much time to work with Linux. I'm trying to use openOffice. (The last thing I need to be MS free). However, when I try to launch it, nothing happens. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the application (rpm) to no avail.

Then I read somewhere that some graphics cards aren't compatible with OO. Great, not only do I have to find a card that works with Linux, but now they're application specific???

Can somebody let me know what, if any PCI (no AGP) graphics cards work with Linux and OpenOffice? Or if there is something I need to do with some config file (xfree86config or something)?

Thanks

Try running it from a terminal, does it spit out any error messages?

OO error messages can be rather non-specific but it'll give us a starting point...

Hmm,that's odd...

I'm not too sure it's the graphics card, if it's quitting on a segfault (signal 11, SIGSEGV, means it's trying to address memory that's not allocated to it)

A build-from-source might solve the problem...
