can't get wintv pci card to work

I recently loaded Mandrake 10.1 on my PC and am having trouble getting the wintv (Hauppauge) pci card to work properly when using KDETV or XAWTV. I can see video but the problem is that when I use the autoscan feature to identify my local TV stations It only identifies one station. Also there is no sound. The card works fine with Windows. Any help will be very much appreciated.

Thanks

what is actually not working with the video? if it finds one channel, can you not just scan manually and save your settings?

sound - it's a lot lot easier to just use an external audio cable, although the older wintv cards should work for sound directly with the "btaudio" module (so try "modprobe btaudio"). the newer cards i think run on the saa7134 chipset, which i believe runs video and autio in one module, so couldn't really say where to go from there.

Check your mixer (kmix etc...) to make sure you have the aux input turned on.

to setup a channel-list i used xawtv and searched channels by hand ( think it goes easyer than using kdetv ).
then imported the file ( ~/xawtv ) in kdetv.

and for sound just do as acid_kewpie wrote, works fine for me.
