Can't get sound to work

I installed Suse 10.1 and instead of using a sound card i use USB DAC, i hooked it up on my USB to my JVC Stereo Receiver but i can't get it to work...
i took out my Soundcard and thought i try to see if it will work since no soundcard is installed cos i don't use a soundcard anymore cos this sounds alot better....
i see it in the hardware ubfo and i tried to hook it up as a USB Audio generic but still doesn't work...
Can somebody please help me to get this to work...
Take Care!
