Can't get my Epson cx9400fax printer to work.

I have an xfx motherboard, 3.4 ghz. My computer recognizes linuxprinting .org says it will work perfectly. I let the computer stipulate which driver to install. I have ubuntu 8.04. I went back and manually configured the printer as shown how in the book "Ubuntu for non geeks". Still doesn't work. Can anyone make a suggestion. Thanx.

I have gotten the printer to print but with restrictions. It will only print text if I copy and paste it over to OpenSource word processor, and then will print only in black and white. any suggestions.

You will have to supply some information before anyone can help.

Cups - is it installed and running? Easy way to tell, open a web browser, type 'http://localhost:631' This should load the cups configuration and management page. If you get page not found, then either cups is not installed or not running.

Open a console, run this command '/sbin/lsmod' (without the quotes) and post the results. That will tell us what modules you have loaded.

This is the driver listed on Linuxpring.org -->http://openprinting.org/show_printer...-Stylus_CX9400
