Can't configure lan hardware

i have recently switched from windows to suse and needless to say i am confused. Most of my hardware was automatically configured correctly, however i cant understand why i cannot get any of my connections to work. usually i would be able to work this type of problem out but i am new to linux, so i cannot connect to the internet any way. my wlan card shows up in the hardware information, but does not show up in network cards. this would be more troubling if i didnt already have the problem of not being able to connect directly through my regular ethernet adapter. in my hardware information it says i have two network cards, BCM4401-B0 100Base-TX, and BCM4318 [AirForce One 54g] 802.11g Wireless LAN Controller. I really dont think this is a difficult problem but my lack of linux experience is making this a very frustrating problem for me

Have you looked in YaST and setup your network cards there? Also proxy, and your modem or router etc as it appears you have a network. I would also suggest only nominating ONE network card as eth0.

Cheers
