I have just recently installed a new sound card into my system- the HT Omega Claro card, which uses the C-Media 8788 chip.
I can't get ALSA or YaST to recognize the card, so I have no sound in the desktop, but when I start Supertux, I have sound!
I did install the latest OSS driver yesterday because ALSA (1.0.13) wasn't working, but I couldn't find any way to configure it so I gave up on it.
I have also tried to set the soundsystem to OSS in settings->sound & multimedia->sound system, but I still get no sound on the desktop.
Why does supertux have sound, and my desktop doesn't? How can I get my desktop (and everything else) to have sound as well?
