The card his detected... *** UNKNOWN/GENERIC *** , otherwise the modules wouldn`T be automatic loaded right?

meanwhile, i am still waiting for the xawtv output, but you may issue:

#rmmod bttv
#rmmod tuner
#modprobe bttv card=0 tuner type=5

i don`t see any unusual output from those commands:
lsmod |grep bttv &
dmesg |grep bttv

Well detected incorrectly is not much for detection and if you would look he knows the tuner=0 from the chip on the card anyways.....

there is no output fro xawtv. It opens normaly

open a terminal and type xawtv...there must be some output

This is xawtv-3.94, running on Linux/i686 (2.6.15-26-386)

game over


For me this isn't an output

game over is writen when I close xawtv

bt848 picolo euresys

My quad input card is a old picolo pro 2 from euresys,
I get finally installed with the bttv card=97 and it recognise a cam on input 1 (gstreamer-properties working)
now i am looking to switch the other entries
The list is available on bt848 how to

command: sudo rmmod bttv
sudo modprobe bttv card=97
