Browser stops unless mouse is moving
Apologies if this was covered somewhere else. While not being a stranger to various Debian distos, this is truly throwing me.
HP Pavillion 8760C
Mepis kernel 2.16.15
Too weird ... unless the mouse is in motion, the browser hangs - once the mouse is moved ( continually ), the browser continues running - if the mouse is stationary, it hangs again....
Logitech USB Marble Mouse currently though tried others with the same result
Thank you in advance to the gods and/or goddesses ( es ?? ) who assist this apparently long time newbie
If you need output from a command line, please state what command you need
(java and javascript are two very different things: this page runs javascript, but not java)
My home page does not use any Javascript. Try the signature.
Most of my site doesn't use Javascript, and none of it uses the kind of Javascript I was thinking of when I asked the question.

Apologies for my ignorance regarding java and javascript
and d'oh - I did try a page that I know to be very simple ( I created it ) and the situation of the browser not loading unless the mouse is moving remains
Sounds like an interrupt problem to me: Maybe your NIC and mouse are sharing an interrupt when they shouldn't be.
kernel boot options of noapic & /or nolapic may help.
