How broken is the keyboard ? Completely broken ? Are you sure there isn't an option in the BIOS to enable USB keyboards ? I know I had a similar problem with a desktop, and it was really hard to sort out. I eventually had to get a PS/2 keyboard to change the BIOS option to enable USB keyboards on boot and then I could use a USB keyboard to change the BIOS options.

On a laptop without a PS/2 port ... that may be impossible. Fix the keyboard or if it isn't completely broken try to enable the option (if it exits) for USB keyboard support.

Thx for the quick reply,
It must be an option in the BIOS to enable the usb support. The problem is that I can't edit it. I search for a software solution. I've no hardware knowledge and don't want to disassemble my laptop to solve it.
I don't know the origin of the dysfunction, one give me the laptop without any information about the problem.
