Broadcom Ethernet controller not seen by new install of RH 7.3


I just installed RH 7.3 on my Dell Poweredge 1750. The install did not find or configure the existing Broadcom Netxtreme BCM5704 Gigabit network controllers. What can I do to resolve this problem?

That's a pretty old version of Red Hat, it might not even have the drivers for your adapter. Would a current lightweight distribution like Puppy or Lubuntu be able to find your adapter?
