Bricked my asus 4870 but does linux hold the key?

I tried to flash a different bios to my asus 4870

Unfortunately, something went wrong and i can no longer get any signal from the card. I've tried reflashing the bios from dos using atiflash and a number of different bios that i believe should have worked. But still nothing. Somebody on another forum suggested that there might be certain tools in linux that could help me... Is there anything that could solve my problem?

Have you tried to clear the BIOS? Consult your mother board manual for the jumper that will allow you to reset the BIOS to its reserve setting, that is if anything is still there. You can always try. Luck, and if you can get to a startup screen you may be able to flash the BIOS again. Check the board manual, or google for it, or see if you can find instructions for flashing from the maker, or as part of the BIOS download. Again, luck.
