Do you mean you want to transform a RAID 1 array into JBOD (just a bunch of disks)? How is the RAID 1 array implemented: dm, lvm, hardware?

Yes, from Raid 1 to JBOD just a bunch of disks

The raid is implemented using hardware (3mware 8006-2)
