booting problem

ok so i fixed my hard disk problem and i even made the windows boot from grub

but after linux install i forgot to even check that my linux is allright

so here what it tells me when i try to boot linux from grub:

reading all physical volumes.
hdd: drive not ready for command

what the hell those this mean?????
linux is installed on a 10 gb hard disk which is master
and windows on a 80 gb hard disk which is slave

please help...

HHTWHT: Did you google your error text?

"hdd: drive not ready for command"
