Bootable DVD???

Hi!
I'm having the following problem.

I have a bootable DVD of a linux distribution. I want to add some stuff in the DVD but i want it to remain bootable ( I don't mess with distro-related stuff at all). For this to work, i create an image file with MagicIso, add the files i want into the iso image and then i burn the image back into a DVD disc.

As you can easily imagine the DVD is no longer bootable. Does anyone have any idea how i can make the DVD bootable?

P.S. Sorry for posting twice in "Linux Software" and "Linux-Hardware", i wasn't sure which category was the most suitable
