Boot Errors in CentOS 6
 

Dear All,

I am facing a trouble, need help in resolution:-

Just installed CentOS on a server having Asus P5KC motherboard having JMicron RAID controller on board.

The OS recognised and configured everything and seems to be working okay.
After rebooting the server twice, a set of error are being thrown to the screen:-

ERROR: ddf1: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 18446744073709421056
ERROR: hpt37x: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 4608
ERROR: hpt45x: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 18446744073709547008
ERROR: pdc: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 137438913024
ERROR: pdc: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 137438920192
ERROR: pdc: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 137438927360
ERROR: pdc: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 137438934528
ERROR: sil: seeking device "/dev/dm-4" to 18446744073709289984


I just fail to understand these errors. Kindly suggest how to remove them ? Appearantly the server seems to be working okay but can these errors create problems later on ?

Well, did you try to look the errors UP, so you can understand them??? And if the server is working fine, why do you need help to resolve a problem...that isn't there?

The errors are from the RAID controller, and have been noted before on the Ubuntu forums (and elsewhere), if you tried to look them up:
