Bluetooth Virtual laser keyboard on Ubuntu compatability

Hi,
I was looking at buying a Bluetooth Laser Virtual keyboard off of thinkgeek.com (http://www.thinkgeek.com/computing/input/8193/) and I was wondering if it is compatible with Ubuntu... I didn't notice anything in the list of compatible operating systems; but I would like to know before I blow away $160 on something that might not even be compatible with my computer.

Thank-you in advance for your help

Well, the device is a standard BT keyboard using HID and SPP, so you would have no problem connecting it to the computer and pulling keys from it.

But as noted in the Mac OS compatibility notes, as the vendor supplied software is not available on that platform (nor Linux, obviously), you won't be able to control the device-specific features like brightness.

You might be able to run the software through WINE, but I have no idea how well (if at all) WINE works with BT-enabled software.

ok then. Thank-you for the quick response. I think I'll probably get that then.
