Bluetooth USB Dongle Trust 17772

http://www.trust.com/products/product.aspx?artnr=17772

This dongle's presence in the USB port is not acknowledeged by Debian - not even a message like "something's there in the USB port, but I don't recognize it" or such.
Code:
 ~$ hcitool dev
    Devices:
Lubuntu on the same PC (desktop) does see it (but doesn't mention it in system utilities), and it's possible to make a connection with other devices, but then that device won't work.
Under Ubuntu, on a different PC (laptop), this Dongle works fine.

here's the ouput of lspci -k,
if in any way helpful.
In both Lubuntu and Ubuntu (12.04), Jockey doesn't list any proprietary drivers, which means they must be using a free one (and the one in Ubuntu working). However, I have non-free repos enabled in Debian.
My main concern is to get the dongle to work on this desktop PC, under Debian and/or Lubuntu, and connect to my bt headset.
thanks, Ben

It was suggested to me in a German-spoken Debian forum to make a
Code:
tail -f /var/log/syslog
This is the output:
http://pastie.org/5643326
So it seems there is a problem loading the firmware.
I already had non-free Debian repos activated (supposing non-free firmware is needed) before trying the dongle for the first time. Bluez-firmware is installed as well.
Then what else is the problem?
