bluetooth mouse and keyboard timeout

I just got a rocketfish bluetooth keyboard and mouse. I'm using Ubutnu 7.04 and they work pretty well. There is one problem though.

If I leave and come back after 15 minutes or so, the keyboard and mouse aren't connected anymore. They seem to timeout after not being used. Power-Saving mode???

Anyway is there a way to lengthen the timeout period? perhaps force the bluetooth daemon to not break the connection?

I noticed that when using windows the same keyboard re-connects a few seconds later after tapping the keys a few times. This means I don't have to go to the command line and reconnect the keyboard.

Is there a way to do this in linux?
