I've been trying to get my Bluetooth headset to work with Skype, but with no luck so far.

I've got the headset itself working with ALSA, and can play sounds through it fine. However, when I try to use the headset in Skype, I get an infinite loop of connect/disconnect noises in the headset. The console output from Skype produces the following message periodically:

I've managed to capture the output from hcidump for the relevant period, and posted it here:

I haven't been able to decipher it yet, so if anyone can give me a hand, or at least a few pointers, I'd really appreciate it.

Did you check the option to use a bluetooth headset in the skype options ? I haven't messed around with a bluetooth headset in a long while, but I remember I had to tell skype to use it in skype's preferences.

Thanks for the reply.

The errors I'm getting occur at the point when I tell Skype to use the headset. That's when it starts going round in circles, so I suspect it's not happy about talking to the headset for some reason.
