BIOS Problem

I recently built a computer, and there seems to be a BIOS issue. After the post routines, it gets to a splash screen, telling me to press TAB for the POST screen or DELETE for setup. Neither button does anything. Strangely, if I press them before it gets to the splashscreen, they work. From there I can change some settings, and I set up the boot order. When I try to boot from a CD, a USB flashdrive, and a USB floppy drive, I still get stuck at the splash screen. When it is at the splash screen, the CD drive (or the floppy drive) begin making more noise, as if it was booting from them, but it never moves from the non functional splash screen. I have completely rebuilt the computer, and the issue is not fixed. Is there anything I should try?

It is a Foxconn 755a motherboard with AwardBIOS v6.00 .

Have you tried updating the BIOS? Or is it current?

I have not tried updating, but since I can't boot I don't think that is possible.

Using a USB keyboard?

If yes, try a PS/2 keyboard.

If that works, enable the legacy USB in BIOS and retest the USB keyboard.

Or just throw out the USB keyboard and keep using the PS/2.
