I had my conexant hsf modem working with old linuxant beta drivers (5.03.27) in RH9 (with standard 2.4 kernel).

However now i've switched to FC2 the beta drivers refuse to install, saying there's some header missing in the 2.6 kernel.

Is there anything I can do to make these source beta drivers work on a 2.6 kernel? I wouldn't know where to start as far as recompiling the kernel goes but would be willing to try if that is the case.

Are there any other alternatives?

does anyone have *cough* a linuxant license key *cough* lying round ? :P

Btw modems only cost about US$7 these days, so why does linuxant think it can charge US$15 for its drivers? .. go figure

the old driver wont work on 2.6 i guess (it didnt work for me on suse 9.1) so you ll have to get the latest driver for 2.6 ..
