Belkin F5D6020 Problems ... again!

I'm pretty sure you've had enough of this card...but here's a noob using one Wink

So it's a Belkin F5D6020v2 card and the kernel is 2.4.88-gentoo-r8.

I've tried many howtos on the official gentoo forum trying to get it to work, but it doesn't - and what's more, you all talk about 'cardmgr' as if it works!

When I use it I get:

Code:
cardmgr[25860]: no pcmcia driver in /proc/devices

for me: /proc/devices is full of lots of stuff (mem, pty, pty, tts, cua, vcs, misc, input,fb) etc etc.. but not pcmcia.

I downloaded: atmel-firmware-1.2 and atmelwlandriver-3.4.1.0 .. and nothing. I've emerged pcmcia-cs and I've given up with 'make menuconfig' because that doesn't seem to make a difference for any of the howto's I've used.

So... can anyone help?
