Belkin F5D 5020 PCMCIA NIC for Redhat 5.2 install
I'm trying to do a network (Ftp or NFS) install of Redhat 5.2 onto an old Sharp laptop, P133, which only has a floppy and a PCMCIA slot. I have a Belkin F5D 5020 NIC which works when the laptop had windows 98 on it.
When I do the redhat install from the boot.img floppy, I use "Expert" mode. Eventually, for PCMCIA support, I must install the supplementary disk, or supp.img. This supp.img does not have the correct driver on it for thils Belkin Card. The Belkin requires the "pcnet_cs" driver acccording to other googling.
How do I get the pcnet_cs driver (which I have found) to be used for the install?
I can get to a shell if I do expert install, ftp install, then go to the spawned shell with [alt] + [ctrl] + [F3] and then i can mount/umount floppies.
I have tried to move the pcnet_cs driver onto the supp.img disk, however I can't seem to get the Redhat installer to load this driver.
Here is another posting I found:
groups google search for "how do i get pcnet_cs onto redhat 5.2" and it's the 2nd hit.
