bcm43xx and Broadcom 4319
In a notebook Compaq Presario V5079EA I have instelled Kubuntu Dapper Drake, kernel 2.6.15-23-amd64-generic.
The driver bcm43xx gives me at boot: "bcm43xx: FATAL ERROR: BCM43xx_IRQ_XMIT_ERROR" but after running bcm43xx-fwcutter /path/to/BCMWL564.SYS (the 64 bit windows broadcom driver) this error disappear but then I get: [ 48.169774] bcm43xx: InitVals (bcm43xx_initvalXX.fw) file-format error. Please fix your bcm43xx firmware files. lspci gives me: 0000:06:02.0 Network controller: Broadcom Corporation: Unknown device 4319 (rev 02) I have seen that kernel 2.6.17-rc3 includes a patch for the 4319 chip. Any ideas? Tanks. |
Broadcom 43xx WLAN Ethernet controller
I am having a similar problem, yet I am running Slackware 10.2.
I cannot even get the kernel to recognize my device. In my HP DV8110US I have a Realteck ethernet & the above Broadcom, it does not recognize either one. I have downloaded the source for 57xx and made changes (via white sheets from Broadcom), and compile, not even a warning, and tried to load the device driver and receive the same error. Any help is appreciated. Roger W. Faulds DJ Wild Bill |
