I'm running Cat-5 in my house and it's been a while since I did this. Please remind me: on the plug where the diagram shows A and B, which one is crossover and which is regular?
A has green stripe as 1 and orange stripe as 3.
B has orange stripe as 1 and green stripe as 3.

Those should clarify it, since they discuss wiring plugs and you are dealing with wiring the jacks ;-)

Crossover is when you wire it A on one end and B on the other end. Straight is when you wire both sides A or both sides B. I think there is a preferred method of wiring that says wire them all A or all B but it really doesn't matter as long as one end works right with the other end and you consistently use the same method. Just don't get someone to help you who will wire one end A while you do the other end B and you will be fine.

wow that was a fancy web site to bad the pictures are misleading :P You should not be able to see the copper wire after you cut your wires it would short the entire cable.

If you did not know, there is a new type of connector where you can slide the wires into a sleave before you slide then into the actual connector which makes things alot easier and neater

There are alot of new fancy connectors. The one I like is the self cutting connector. You strip as much wire as you like then feed the wires through the connector and they come out the other side, this way you can verify the color code with the wire in the connector. When you crimp the connector it cuts the ends of the wires too.
