Backlit LED Keyboard Problem

Well I just recently purchased a Sunbeam keyboard and everything seems to work fine except for the backlit led doesn't want to work. I can turn on/off the light during post and the early start up of Linux but as soon as soon as X starts I can't control it anymore. The Num Lock key works and the Capse Lock light works too, just the back board one doesn't. Anyone have any ideas as to why this does this? Thanks.

maybe you need a special driver for a back lit board.

check the manufacturers web site, and here on the hcl link.

good luck.
