Aureon 5.1 Fun Soundcard under opensuse 10.3. Digital optical output not working

Hi,
As it says in the thread title, I have a Terratec Aureon 5.1 Fun soundcard with digital optical output, and a set of digital idome speakers that connect to it. The soundcard's analog output works fine, as if i plug a headset into the analog ports i can get sound. Also, the microphone works fine in skype. However, I can't get sound via my speakers. I have tried looking for an option in the mixer panel and also searched for a driver in google but to no avail.

By the way, I am a complete newbie that only installed SUSE a few days ago so i apologise if i left out any important info and/or the answer is obvious.
