Audiovox mpdj paralel cable

I found an old mp3 player my dad had laying around. The old software is not xp compatible and it is unsuported. So I was wondering how would I go about trying to mount it as an external flash drive as it only came with a paralel port adaptor. If it's not worth trying post that, but I'm interested in trying some things.
