Audigy Notebook problems & Slackware 12
Hello
I have some problems with my Audigy 2 ZS Notebook sound card. As i know Slack 12 have appropriate modules for that device already installed. When I run alsaconfig everything wents ok, my card seemed to be recognized & setup properly. But always I try sound within "Sound System" utility i hear sound from my laptop's built-in speakers (AC97) NOT from my PCMCIA Audigy! although in alsaconfig I've selected Audigy, not build-in Intel AC97.
Moreover when I run: "find /lib/modules/`uname -r`/ | grep emu10k" such results appears:
/lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1
/lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1-synth.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/sound/pci/emu10k1/snd-emu10k1x.ko
/lib/modules/2.6.21.5-smp/kernel/drivers/input/gameport/emu10k1-gp.ko
Why that emu10k1 modules (Audigy driver) is under pci, not pcmcia ???. Mayby there is the problem???
I'm running on SlackWare 12 2.6.21.5-smp
ps.
I'm a total Linux newbie so be patient & talk clear.
Thanks in advance.
