Having trouble installing a piece of hardware? Want to know if that peripheral is compatible with Linux?

Audigy 2 howto...?

I've got an Audigy 2 in a system that previously had windows installed in my livingroom. With windows installed, I was able to connect my dvd player to the line-in on my audigy, and the sound was automatically played through the speakers. With linux (MDK 9.2), it does not seem to do this. Is there any sort of Audigy driver or config utility that can be downloaded to possibly enable this feature? If not, what config file do I need to edit that may enable the line in?
