"attempt to access beyond end of device"

Hi, I'm running RedHat 9 on a hardware raid platform. Everything was going fine up until recently when my system began to hang during operation. The error is the log was as follows: "attempt to access beyond end of device". Is this an indication that one of my drives is failing or is an indication that there is something wrong with the software? Thanks

Dalton
