Superglue or cellotape will attach pretty much anything to anything else. Otherwise you will have to be specific.

Thanks Simon,

for your wonderfull answer.

how do you attach a printer to a computer? do you superglue it or cellotape it?

i hope you got the SPECIFIC answer?

Thanks Again.

In tone - one would "attach" a printer to a computer in a number of different ways. Besides superglue and cellotape, one could use serial, usb or network cables. One could use a wireless adapter. One could have the printer on a network or connected to another computer on a network (or via any number of the previous connection methods including crossover cable). Indeed, there are such a large number of possible ways to connect a printer to a computer that there is no point starting to suggest methods unless the user is specific about what they are trying.

When someone has a problem connecting a printer to a computer, they are usually good enough to state which of the many methods they are trying.

Mobile phones are, is anything, even more varied.

So, I am sorry, you are insufficiently specific. I am quite experienced at getting mobile phones to work in a variety of ways with computers. However, I have to have something to go on!

I know several people who attach their phones to their laptops via a velcro strip (when they are using the phones as a modems). This is so they don't knock it when they are typing and dislodge the usb connector.

Another person I know has glued a mobile phone cradle to the side of his desktop. This is nothing to do with interoperating the phone and computer - it is just a handy place to keep it.
So the idea of a physical attachment is not so silly as you seem to think.

Please read the long advise in my sig before replying.

Meanwhile: here are the top 5 google results for "attach mobile phone to computer". Note how many and varied the possibilities... perhaps one of these is what you want?

Mine is properly attached by a couple of big nails...
shritesh you should tell us what kind of connection you are setting up, infrared, bluetooth, wired (through usb or special cabling). There are many different tools/drivers to set up a mobile/computer connection, so Simon Bridge is not that wrong.
A friendly "ciao"

Mobile Attach USB Cable

Hi,
Simon

Please accept my apology if you are hurt by my yesterdays comments.

Let me try to go more specific.

I have a linux RHEL server, with LAMP Stack.
I have Nokia 6610 phone, USB cable CA-42(through which i connect to windows machine). I want to setup(attach) this mobile to my linux server.

Hope this suffice the needs so as you can guide me.
Please guide

OK - the Nokia 6610 is a gprs phone. Do you intend to use the phone as a modem, or do you want to access the phone from the computer as an external storage device, or do you want to synchronise phone features with similar software on your computer?

Welcome to the 21st century.

Note: the DKU-5 usb cable does not work with linux - it isn't real usb or something. Best results are to be had from infra-red. Also see: http://www.gnokii.org/index.shtml

(See how much more help I can be? - note: there is a sticky in this forum which exaplains what is expected of you when you post a question here. Have a look at it sometime soon, it will help you avoid annoyed replies in future.)
