ATI RADEON X800XL (PCI express) Linux 64 Bit Driver?
 
Hi:

Well, no luck with latest ATI Driver, card seems not recognized. Xserver defaults to vesa generic.

The cards is a PCI Express, ATI RAdeon X800XL. Any one able to use this cards ina a Linux 64 Bit setup?

I am using Centos 4.4 BTW.

As root from runlevel 3 try using; aticonfig

You might want to disable the service kudzu also; chkconfig --level 345 kudzu off

I haven't got all that much experience and you may not need this answer but I have installed a PCI express Ati card in a 64bit amd system under SimplyMepis6.0 and because Mepis has good features built in for nVidia and Ati graphics driver installation, the installation was a breeze...

not much of an answer for your distro but at least you know that someone with little experience got it to work.
