i assume that you know how to get to text mode and login.
when you done above thing, it should gave you a $ or # sign which means that you was a logged on user right now.
you have to log in as root to be able to install the ati driver from
www.ati.com and the latest version i believe was 3.7.0.
you could download to a partition where you could see it in linux. then just cd to that directory and do "rpm -Uvh <package's name>" or "urpmi -Uvh <package's name>" can't remember which one. i don't use mandrakes. Sorry
