ATI Radeon 9700 Mobility with Xorg? Wich driver?
Hi!
I´m running Gentoo on a Notebook, Acer Aspire 1613LMi with a Intel P4 3,06GHz, 512MB Ram and a ATI Radeon 9700 Mobility with 64 MB RAM. Since I installed KDE all seems to work fine. I installed KDE 3.3 with Xorg 6.7 and resolution 1400x1050, depth of 24 on the TFT-Screen. I created the xorg.config file in /etc/X11 with fglrxconfig that was available after installing the Ati-drivers from ati.com, version 3.14.1 KDE works fine, all great, but when I did fglrxinfo, just as in the ATI-HowTo about installing the drivers and checking wheather they are installed, it says OpenGL vendor string: Mesa project: www.mesa3d.org and not ATI Technologies. So I assume that drivers are not configured correctly, but installed correctly yes. So what should I change in my xorg.conf? Or should I use other drivers? Or even change to Xfree? :( I start KDE over KDM. Any more infos? I dont think so...please help me...tuxracer for example runs, framebuffer is disabled. All ATI support in the Kernel is active. Thanks, fedivh |
