ATI radeon 9500->9700 driver hack

Hello World!

For a while, ATI 9500 boards had a windows driver hack to enable the 4 additional pipelines effectively making the card an ATI 9700, and with overclocking, a 9700 Pro.

has anyone done such a driver hack for Linux?
