Question ati radeon 9000 and mandrake 10.1 comm.

ok, I am the first to say that I am new to linux. I recently installed Mandrake 10.1 Community Edition on my Compaq Presario. I had the game Unreal 2004 and I knew it was portable to linux so I installed it. When I ran it, the loadup screen starts then the game goes into full screen mode where it loads for a second then stop. When I exit the game and go back to the console in which I ran it, it says

Xlib: extension "XiG-SUNDRY-NONSTANDARD" missing on display ":0.0".

If this has to do with installing graphics card drivers, I have already read several articles but everytime I try something, I always end up screwing it up. I have a ATI Radeon 9000 IGP card.
If someone could walk me through the steps of installing these drivers it would be greatly appreciated.
