ATI Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO

i have an ATI Radeon 64MB DDR with VIVO in my box and I'm trying to get the correct linux driver for. All the drivers i see speak in terms of series numbers like 9700 9200 9500...and so on.

Does my card fit into this number scheme? If so, where?
Im sure I dont have a 9700 because my card was bought before those came out. I got the card close to like 2.5 years ago and I dont think I have the box anymore and all I know is that it's an ATI Radeon 64MB DDR VIVO card.

The distro is gentoo by the way, no nice selection like Red Hat had for it. Red Hat actually listed it in the install part as an ATI Radeon VIVO and then you could select the video memory ammount.

I'm learning and trying to help, but I don't think there are official drivers for your card other than the native linux support. I have the same card and it seems to work fine but I'm running Suse 9 and trying to figure out how I can use the video in feature. Doesn't look promising for me cause I seriouly lack knowhow. Our card according to my windows device manager is a 7200 but my linux device manager identifies it as a 7000. There is also an entry under "unkown" in the linux device manager for an "ATI rage128 RG6". I'm not sure exactly what makes an item "unknown" though because both my CPU and Modem are also listed under it with a bunch of other stuff. Sorry, not much help.
