Ati HD4890 driver problem. Ubuntu 10.04

Hi all!

I upgraded to Ubuntu 10.04 64 bits and now my drivers don't work

All worked fine with Ubuntu 9.10 64 bits and kernel 2.6.28 (I didn't upgrade because of this problem)

I tried with the ubuntu hardware manager, installing fglrx and still nothing. Then I tried downloading the last driver from the ati drivers page, ati 10.4 , and still nothing

It doesn't recognize the drivers, because when I have installed the fglrx, and I try to activate desktop effects, it searches for new controllers.

Any suggestion??

Thanks in advance

Don't run Ubuntu, but this might be helpful.
