Just got a 256mb ATI FireGL AGP Pro dualhead DVI with TV output graphics card. I have a 19" Flatscreen LCD monitor, with VGA or DVI jacks. Using either one (with DVI-VGA adapter on card), all I get are lines going berserk. No picture, nothing, just colors and lines, blinking, moving, etc. And this is during my initial bootup: bios splash screen, SCSI selector, etc.
This damn thing is very irritating. I can't even load the bios without a bunch of white noise crap. I've reinserted the card, reset the CMOS (about 3 times), used the DVI or VGA, and still no luck. Sometimes a drive I have with Ubuntu boots long enough to get to the loading screen, and when its about 10% done, the screen goes crazy. I've never seen anything like it.
Just tried switching monitors. Same thing happens with a different monitor. I hope somebody has an inkling of whats going on, cause I'm up a creek without a boat right now.
