ATI aiw 9800 pro on fc3


Anyone got aiw 9800 pro working on fc3?

serious help needed. Im trying to watch tv and play games on my box, but it just wont let me.

Have downloaded the driver from ATI's website?

i've got them working on FC3, slackware and gentoo. the only problem is the tv tuner isn't supported by ati's drivers and it probably never will be 'cos they recommend we use the gatos drivers, which unfortunately only support the older 8500s and before. they are however working on support for the newer chipsets with a little help from ATI., but they say we can't expect anything to be released for at least 6 months...i've been patiently waiting for about two now

Yeah it sucks....I have one as well and the vid card works fantastic, but I have to boot back to windows if I want to watch TV. Guess I'm still a ways away from a pure Linux system.
