AT91SAM9260 SD Card and Dataflash?

Greetings,

I using the AT91SAM9260-ek running Linux. Everything is working fine, however, I would like to have simultaneous access to the Dataflash and the SD-Card from Linux. Currently, the SD-Card is using the MCI interface and sharing the SPI0 lines which are wired to the Dataflash. If I turn the MMC support off I can access the dataflash with the MTD drivers. I understand why this is and why they do not work together, however, my question is: It appears that SD-Card should be able to be accessed via the SPI instead of the MCI interface, is this possible with Linux, without recoding too much?

Thank you for your time.
