Asus Xonar U1

Hello everyone, it's my first post here so don't blame me XP

I want to buy Asus Xonar U1 soundcard, but I can't find any good info about compatibility with linux. so.. Is it compatible? I did google about 2 hours, and I dont know anything about it, really.. On alsa project There's almost none or NONE info...

If it works, how good it does?
How about drivers, there is reasoning possibility that they will get really good in near future?

Best regards

Is it this one?
I think these things use C-Media drivers. I have seen reports that they work out of the box with Ubuntu.

When considering a HW purchase, it is prudent to make sure the product is available.

... cute - I may get one...

Asus are fairly open-minded about linux - you could ask their support forum?
http://support.asus.com/

... the approach to use is that you have heard that "many asustek products like xonar u1 work well with linux, but their sites do not have linux on the OS list. Many linux users would apreciate seeing this and other info... etc." Start a discussion - cannot hurt.

When you get one, don't forget to add it to the HCL.

Hehe I guess availability is pretty important, maybe as important as compatibility :>

Cute?:P It looks like UFO I'm targeting "piano black" version, my gf said it's less ugly xDD Don't mind her, she's not about computers

Damn, I did realize that my English need improvements, or I don't know what to say.. since I don't know what's worse I'll get back to the subject.

I've just asked my country's main HW supplier, about this card. He said that the last time they had it was 3 months ago, and they don't have any info about it on any supply date...

I guess I'll start discussion on asustek forum when this card will be available again. Edit -> I've just started it

Since, as everyone may noticed - my english suck, so please help me out there a little
