ASUS WIFI-TV card, chip SAA7131E, pciid: 1043:8188.

Hi there,

I wonder if there is anybody who got this TV card work. PCI identification is 1043:8188. According to many tips I wrote to /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf this:

Code:
options saa7134 card=112 gpio_tracking=1 i2c_scan=1
But it still don't work.

Code:
$ uname -a
Linux laogong 2.6.31-ARCH-20090917-05315-gab86e57-dirty #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Sep 17 16:17:47 CEST 2009 i686 Intel(R) Pentium(R) D CPU 3.00GHz GenuineIntel GNU/Linux
Code:
$ lspci -v:
01:01.0 Multimedia controller: Philips Semiconductors SAA7131/SAA7133/SAA7135 Video Broadcast Decoder (rev d0)
	Subsystem: ASUSTeK Computer Inc. Device 8188
	Flags: bus master, medium devsel, latency 64, IRQ 22
	Memory at cfcdb000 (32-bit, non-prefetchable) [size=2K]
	Capabilities: <access denied>
	Kernel driver in use: saa7134

So thank you for any suggestion. Bye!

It seems it is a DVB card that will need additional programs to control it. First, I suggest use tvtime to test the card through S-Video or Composite to make sure it is working. If it is working by providing you video content, install DVB utilities and choose either Mplayer, VLC, or Xine to watch from DVB sources.
