Asus TurboKey Feature
I've recently purchased an Asus M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 motherboard. It comes with a neat feature called "TurboKey" which lets you kick the system into an overclocked profile with the push of a button. Does Linux have any access to this? Is it an ACPI control? Is there a driver? I'd like to be able to have my system toggle OC mode and normal mode when I push (ideally) the power button.
I've googled this and got a bunch of irrelevant Asus product pages. Any ideas? |
Older turbokey versions worked when you pushed the power button.
Turbokey on the M4A89GTD Pro/USB3 is actually a switch on the board, you can see a pic here (2nd pic from the top)- http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...p-Turbo-Key-II As for how it works, never looked into turbokey that hard. Like all automatic overclocking tools, its never going to give the results that manual overclocking does. This sort of result is fairly common with all the automatic overclocking tools I've ever seen- Quote:
IMO if you want to overclock, do it manually from the BIOS. |
