asus eeepc

i have an asus eeepc with 4gb of hdd, i want to install another linux distro. what would you reccomend for 4 gb of hdd? it will be used as a normal computer with browsers, email, maybe a few programming languages. Currently ubuntu is not the best choice for 4gb of hdd space.

Bizarre that they supply such tiny hard drives when even an SD card can hold upwards of 16GB...
Slackware, if you can get to grips with it, is probably a good bet for you.

See here: http://wiki.eeeuser.com/

Scroll down to Custom Eee Linux Distros and
"Standard" Linux Distros
Then make your choice(s).
