what CCD software are you using ?
IRIS ?
or something else

what are you planning on doing ?
"supper resolution" image stacking ?
a blur subtraction of registered images to bring out say a comet or asteroid

or are you just tacking on a camera to a 90mm telescope
or do you have something like a 12 inch long focal length Newtonian like a Dobsonian

or just long exposes to make "star trails"

AS long as the camera uses USB mass storage or PTP (not some nasty proprietary protocol) it should work with linux.

Bit more info here-

Hello

You can take a look at the following webpage for a listing of cameras that should work:

http://www.gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php

There are other cameras not yet listed that should also work.

as to the brand
do you all ready have a slr adapter
for cannon,nikon,pentex,...

it replaces the eyepiece

other adapters are for just the ccd ONLY -- think of the old "dry ice " cold camera"
using those were fun

gas hyper sensitizing the 35mm or 6x7 cm film and using dry ice , those were the days

That's the way I used to do my own astrophotography. In fact, I still have my gas hyper-sensitizing kit and Olympus OM-1 camera packed away somewhere around here. I've not kept up to date on the subject though, so don't really know what everyone is using these days.
