what CCD software are you using ?
IRIS ? or something else what are you planning on doing ? "supper resolution" image stacking ? a blur subtraction of registered images to bring out say a comet or asteroid or are you just tacking on a camera to a 90mm telescope or do you have something like a 12 inch long focal length Newtonian like a Dobsonian or just long exposes to make "star trails" |

AS long as the camera uses USB mass storage or PTP (not some nasty proprietary protocol) it should work with linux.
Bit more info here- http://www.teaser.fr/~hfiguiere/linux/digicam.html |
Hello
You can take a look at the following webpage for a listing of cameras that should work: http://www.gphoto.org/proj/libgphoto2/support.php There are other cameras not yet listed that should also work. |
as to the brand
do you all ready have a slr adapter for cannon,nikon,pentex,... it replaces the eyepiece other adapters are for just the ccd ONLY -- think of the old "dry ice " cold camera" using those were fun gas hyper sensitizing the 35mm or 6x7 cm film and using dry ice , those were the days |
